From the Lake of Scanno it is possible to explore the wonderful landscape riding a horse. The Lake is placed at 930 m. a.s.l. and its water is so excellent and pure where can be found several sort of fishes. The lake has a heart shape and was generated after an earthquake in 217 a.C.

People who loves nature can go around the lake on foot, on bicycle or riding a horse or climb the mountains. The lake, which changes the colours according to the seasons, with its altitude, the purity of the air and the magnificent view is considered one of the most beautiful lakes of the Abruzzo Region.
